Professional Affiliations
I'm in my second 3-year term as Associate Editor for Bioinformatics, the field's leading journal, and have been a member of the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB) since 1999. Despite the success of this large international society, there are a number of advantages to having regional ones. As such, I'm also active in the Mid-South Bioinformatics Society (MCBIOS), serving as President (2007-8), Board member (2003-8) and editor of the Conference Proceedings(2004-9), which is published in BMC Bioinformatics. Yuriy Gusev and I also formed the Oklahoma Bioinformatics Society (OKBIOS).
