Adam Cohen holds a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from the Duke University School of Law. After working as a litigator for the law firm of Hughes Hubbard & Reed in New York, where he specialized in products liability defense for such clients as Merck and Chrysler, he came to Oklahoma in 1997 to serve as law clerk to the Honorable Robert H. Henry of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. Following his clerkship, Cohen served as a staff attorney for the University of Oklahoma, focusing on employment litigation, and also worked as a freelance writer. His articles appeared in more than a dozen publications, including The American Lawyer, Men’s Journal, The Dallas Morning News and the Los Angeles Times, and he also wrote news copy for the Oklahoma City NBC affiliate, KFOR TV. In 2001, Cohen won the Dallas Press Club’s Katie Award for his feature writing. Since joining OMRF in 2002, he has continued to put his skills both as a journalist and an attorney to use. During this time, OMRF’s Department of Public Affairs has earned more than 15 top prizes in journalism and public relations competitions, and Cohen has been recognized as an “Achiever under 40” by The Journal Record newspaper and as a member of the OKC Business “Forty under 40.” Mailing Address
