Post-Baccalaureate Research Program (PReP)

Application Process

Education Programs

The PReP Fellowship provides opportunities for recent college graduates to spend a year working in a research laboratory at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

While in this program participants work side-by-side with scientists in an environment devoted exclusively to biomedical research. During their tenure in the program, fellows are expected to initiate the application process for graduate school. The duration of the program is one year. A second year is possible pending acceptance by the mentor and the committee.

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents. Successful candidates must begin training within one year of receipt of the undergraduate degree. This program is intended for individuals who have not previously had the chance to work full time in a research laboratory, with the exception of summer experiences.

The stipend is equivalent to that of First-year Graduate students. The salary includes full benefits with medical/dental insurance, life and AD&D insurance, long term disability and retirement. Furthermore, travel costs and some moving expenses (if out of state) are reimbursed upon relocation, according to OMRF guidelines.
