Technology Transfer Material Transfer & Invention Disclosure Available Technologies for Licensing

Manu S. Nair Licensing Associate Manu Nair joined the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) in January 2004. He brings in a wide range of educational skills and experience to the TTO's functions. Mr. Nair received his LL.B (equivalent to JD) from the University of Kerala, India and practiced law as an Attorney with Philip Mathews & Associates, Kerala, India till 1999. He later joined Lamar University, Texas and graduated with his MBA in 2001. Subsequently, he obtained his Masters in Laws (LL.M) in Intellectual Property (IP), Commerce and Technology from Franklin Pierce Law Center, New Hampshire in 2003. Prior to being a lawyer, Mr. Nair worked in the field of sales and marketing, thus developing valuable experience and skills that the TTO's the technology commercialization efforts benefit greatly from. He is specially trained in the various avenues of business law, and has experience in the field of company incorporation, and start-up company organization and management. Before joining OMRF, he worked as an IP Management and Marketing Consultant for SAV, a software company in Houston, Texas. At the TTO, Mr. Nair's responsibilities include IP management and commercialization of OMRF's technologies, and "spin-off company" activities. He also works closely with OMRF scientists to protect the foundation's intellectual property and to facilitate material transfer, research and service agreements.
