Gifts, Memorials, and Tributes

The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation relies on friends like you for support. OMRF is not a part of any university or state agency and consequently receives no state-appropriated funding. Every contribution stays in Oklahoma and goes 100 percent to fund research. Administrative costs are covered by separate trust funds.

Our Gifts, Memorials, and Tributes Program is designed to give donors the option to remember or honor those special people who have touched their lives. At the same time, gifts to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation ensure that our research will continue.

Here is how you can participate in the Gifts, Memorials, and Tributes Program:

By Internet
Give an Online Gift using your VISA or MasterCard on a VeriSign secure web page.

By Mail
Print the Gift Card, complete all information on the form, enclose the Gift Card along with your check, cash, or money order (if not using a credit card) and mail to:

By Phone
Give a gift contribution using your VISA or MasterCard over the telephone by calling (405) 271-7400 or 1-800-522-0211.

Here is some information when giving a contribution, regardless of how you participate in the Gifts, Memorials, and Tributes Program:

  • If your gift is a Memorial or Tribute, the name of the person(s) being remembered or honored will be printed on the notification sent to the names and addresses given in the Tribute Notification section.  The notification is an acknowledgment of your generous gift.  The amount of your gift will not be revealed on this acknowledgement.
     

  • Enter your name and address information in the Gift Made By section as well as your daytime telephone number. This name will be printed on the notification sent to the family, and a receipt will be mailed to you at this address. The phone number will only be used to contact you should there be a problem processing your contribution.
     

  • You can designate which research area your contribution will support in the Gift Information section. Every contribution is used only to fund research at OMRF. Your contribution will not be used for administrative and other overhead costs, as these costs are covered by other sources of income, such as trust funds and grants.
     

  • A receipt will be mailed to you for your tax records. All gifts to OMRF are tax deductible, and may be eligible for an Oklahoma tax credit.   Find out how you can get an Oklahoma State Tax credit up to $1,000.

Your contributions will provide a truly meaningful way to remember or honor your friends and loved ones by supporting world-class biomedical research at OMRF. Today, our dedicated scientists and physicians are working in 150 laboratories in programs that impact more than 150 disease areas. It is only through such basic research that we can gain the medical knowledge to help relieve suffering and prevent untimely death.
